It is the most important company&nbsp;on the planet, but very few people even know it exists.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">If China were to take control of Taiwan, it would create a massive global crisis.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Taiwan-based chipmakers like TSMC are responsible for the semis in almost all of our electronics &ndash; from medical devices and home appliances to our cars and phones&hellip; and beyond.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">This would give China the ability to control, alter, allocate, or completely stop the supply of key semiconductors in electronics that we use and need every day.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:22px\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Military Protection Isn&rsquo;t Enough<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Now, some believe that Taiwan is fine. It&#39;s very hard to land there&hellip; We&#39;ve got all of these military installments&hellip; China can&#39;t possibly breach Taiwan&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/az9fctvtJk-l5xrk-LhVlGrGeGajMa699ic5lJDUVm7JeTWVua6brtdIvatrU-1E3vPEFhzssX081vEBSlrnpm4g5gKHra4WI_mgHESKUXcb1F3takP3Ahc9P_ANF-ivDro=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/cdn.brownstoneresearch.com\/TBE\/images\/202208\/20220808-tbe-02-dfe345.jpg\" style=\"width:560px\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">But when we think like a military strategist, we get a very different view:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/ci5.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/9aeKmbgDo0rVzDT4I4d9GYO8snq7HmU5FCDO42Yc1mdH4n-seYENJkJbQxMCpSLeRq5T5R1t2v9FpWShwsh0EXD6MAaxJosK_MHqcxoTg-Wst0c4nP_3jID7UaN1Tuixt-Y=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/cdn.brownstoneresearch.com\/TBE\/images\/202208\/20220808-tbe-03-dfe345.jpg\" style=\"width:560px\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">A million troops versus Taiwan&#39;s 88,000. Destroyers &ndash; 32 versus 4. 1,600 fighters versus Taiwan&#39;s 400. And China has 450 bombers in attack planes, whereas Taiwan has zero.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">That doesn&#39;t look too good&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">But this is also a mistake.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">The reality&nbsp;is that China is already there.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:22px\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">A Different Kind of Attack<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">China has been in Taiwan for decades. And they&#39;ve been slowly building administrative control over Taiwan&hellip; just as they did for Hong Kong.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Hong Kong&nbsp;was handed over from the British to China. The move was already in the works for decades. Many were fearful of what might come once the handover was complete.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Ironically, they were correct in their concerns. But they were wrong about the timeframe. China took more than two decades to slowly and methodically take complete control. This is a slow, methodical process that continues to unfold today.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">China is brilliant at playing the long game. So it&#39;s already happening in Taiwan whether we realize it or not.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">It&rsquo;s now just a matter of time until it asserts control. Any military presence will largely be just for show, and it will make for flashy headlines in the media.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">But executives&nbsp;in the industry have known this, and they&rsquo;ve been taking action.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Last year, Intel announced a new $20 billion investment in Arizona to build two semiconductor plants.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And at the start of this year, it said it&rsquo;s making a $100 billion investment in Ohio &ndash; the heartland. They want to build the world&#39;s largest semiconductor manufacturing facility in cornfields.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">This is not happening in Silicon Valley. This is extraordinary &ndash; and it&rsquo;s the most exciting thing I&#39;ve seen from Intel in a decade.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Likewise, Intel is also planning to build a $19 billion mega factory in Europe.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And Intel isn&rsquo;t acting alone&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Samsung is planning to construct a $17 billion chip plant in Texas by 2024.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And returning to TSMC &ndash; it&rsquo;s in the process of building a $12 billion in Arizona.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Why is TSMC building in the United States? Why would they do that?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Because they&#39;re scared that they&#39;re going to be taken over when China asserts control. They have to diversify their supply chain. They&#39;ve got to bring its manufacturing onto soil where they know they can keep producing semiconductors and then ship them elsewhere.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">It&#39;s a serious problem. It&rsquo;s also why TSMC is in discussions to build a multibillion-dollar manufacturing plant in Singapore, and another in Japan.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Another company, Micron, is looking to spend as much as $40 billion in either Arizona or Texas.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">ON Semiconductor, GlobalFoundries, and Akoustis &ndash; among others &ndash; are likewise making moves to expand and upgrade their facilities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And the good news is that these semiconductor companies are finally getting some legislative support&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:22px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><span style=\"color:#000000\">Incentivizing the Right Behavior<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Policy and legislation are finally moving in the right direction on this subject.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Both the House and the Senate approved the CHIPS Act at the end of July. This will be a boon for U.S. manufacturing, as it offers great incentives for expansion and research.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">This bill is long overdue. As we&rsquo;ve just seen, the global architecture for manufacturing has been shifting from centralized to decentralized for years now, and the pace is picking up.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">The cost advantages of manufacturing in mainland China have narrowed. And the importance of secure supply chains for critical components has never been better understood than it is today.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And the CHIPS Act isn&rsquo;t the only potential legislation to move us in the right direction&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Another group of policymakers has proposed the FABS Act, which would offer tax credits for constructing and upgrading semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This is actually smart legislation &ndash; and it incentivizes the right behavior.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">But the key point is, that all of those announcements &ndash; for the investment I mentioned above &ndash; happened before the government offered up anything.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">The industry has been on top of this for the last decade.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">China still poses a big threat to Taiwan &ndash; and through it, a threat to the world.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">But as we can see, the industry &ndash; and now the government &ndash; isn&rsquo;t sitting on its heels. We&rsquo;re going to see more announcements of new fabs in the U.S. and around the world in the near future.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">While it will take time for the industry to adjust to this new dynamic and build out the necessary infrastructure, we&rsquo;re on the right track.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:#000000\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">And in the meantime, the money flowing toward the semiconductor industry will prime a number of our investments in this space going forward&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.markethive.com\/azcats72\"><img src=\"https:\/\/markethive.com\/images\/banners\/4501.gif\" style=\"height:70px; width:700px\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:20px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><strong>New Opportunities Are Emerging For Citizens of The World.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:18px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><strong>Freedom and democracy<\/strong> may appear to be struggling to stay alive in America, but there may be a knock-out punch ready to be released.
